Ano ba ang pinagkakaabalahan ko ngayon?

Di pa kasi ako nakakapagdownload ng magandang kanta.

Useless Facts About Me.

According to my mom, when I was young, I was a lefty. I'm a righty now due to constant smacking of my hands. Hehe.

I could sense a text message coming 3 to 5 seconds before it registers on my phone.. even before the “One Message Received” appears on the screen.

I'm addicted to anime that’s thought provoking like Kino No Tabi (Kino’s Travel) and Evangelion.

Slyck’s, my laptop, memory bank’s contents are mostly movies, pictures and a whole lot of music. In short, I love music and movies. Hmm.. I do have a folder that contains my (coughs) poems and essays. Another one’s a folder containing some of my work documents.

My tears fall rather easily when the right buttons are pushed, di ba Diana?! Iyakin ako di ba? Hehehe.

I'm a slow reader.

I like patterns but I'm not that fond of routines.

I'm a self proclaimed OC (Obsessive Compulsive).

I like talking to old people. I love hearing the “old days” stories.

I speak straight english only when I'm angry and get tongue tied when I'm not.

I don’t really know why but I'm slightly afraid of bridges – hanging ones or water bridges.

I like spaghetti, actually I love spaghetti. Hehe.

Eto ang unang situwasyon.. Ikaw ang boss. Meron kang isang empleyadong nanggagalaiti sa galit at tuluyan ng nawalan ng kontrol sa sarili.

Eto ang nangyari.. Sinigawan ka sa harap ng iyong mga tauhan. Take note, ikaw ang boss at isa syang di hamak na trabahador lang. Saan ka sinisigawan? Sa mismong opisina mo. Ininsulto nya ang pamamalakad mo, ininsulto nya yong systemang pinapatupad mo.

Pagkatapos ng komosyon, anong ginawa ng mokong na trabahador na ito?! Pinangalandakan pa sa mundo na english sya ng english sa harap mo at proud pa syang sinigawan ka nya.

Kung ikaw ang boss na pinagsisigawan ng isang masnakakababang rango sayo ano ang gagawin mo?!

Kung ako iyon, there and then sinesante ko na sya.

Pero ano ang ginawa ng boss na tinutukoy ko dito? Wala syang ginawa, ang sabi pa nya.. "Eh ganon talaga sya eh."

Anak ng kunehong kinalbo na ginawang siopao! Kaya tuloy di sya nirerespeto ng mga tao nya eh. Pinapayagan nyang ganon ganunin sya.

Nakakaawang nilalang. Tsk!

Ikalawang situwasyon.. Nakauniporme ka, ang ganda mo. Kagalang galang istura mo. Sumakay ka ng tricycle papunta ng opisina. May kasama ka sa tricycle na di mo kilala, napunta ka dun sa pinakaloob ng tricycle.. Gahaman kasi sa pasahero ang mamang driver kaya kung ilan ang kayang lamanin ng sasakyan nya eh iyon ang isinakay.

Ngayon, bababa ka na. Nagpara ka. Nagexcuse me ka pa. At eto ang nangyari.. Di makaintindi ang katabi mong babae. Manhid sya in short. Di sya tumayo't lumabas muna para makababa ka ng mapayapa. Tamad din sya in short. Wala syang paki sa kapwa nya, in short heartless sya. (haha, di naman halatang galit ako noh?!)

Di talaga kumilos ang babaeng nakasleeveless na ito, eh nagmamadali ka na dahil late ka na. Wala kang magawa kung hindi pahirapan ang sarili mong tumayo'y bumaba ng tricycle. Lechugas na babae, itinabi lang ang sarili sa gilid para magkaroon ng isang makipot na dadaanan mo.

Hello ineng! Malaking tao ka! "POTAH!" napamura ka. Siguro naman narinig nya. Sana talaga nadinig nya.

Kung ikaw yong babaeng naagrabiado, anong gagawin mo?

Ako, napamura ako. Hahahaha. Narinig nga din ata nung security guard namen. Nahiya tuloy ako, di pa man din ako palamurang tao.

Napuna ito ng iyong katrabaho. Sabi nya na para bang nangiinis ang tono sa boses, "Aba kape ka ng kape ah."

Nairita ka sa sinabi nya, baket ba masama bang magkape, breaktime ko naman? Sa iyo ba ang kapeng iniinom ko? Hindi ba ako entitled sa freebees ng kumpanya? Ikaw lang ba ang autorisadong uminom ng uminom ng kape?

Pabiro mong sinabing, "Baket masama?" May halong galit din sa iyong tono.

Naramdaman nyang nainis ka, natigilan sya't umalis ng mesa.

Kung ikaw yong pinuna na kape ng kape, anong gagawin mo?!

Maiba naman tayo, kanina, nagpakasasa ako sa sinahod ko. Hahaha.

Wala lang, ang tagal ko na kasing hindi nakakapagshopping eh. Kaya ayun, nahumaling at nagsplurge! Ubos si pera.

Oks lang, sabi naman ng kaibigan ko, "basta masaya ka sa pinamili mo okie yon."

Masaya ako! Masaya ako! Nabadtrip kasi ako kaninang umaga hanggang hapon, masama ang araw na ito. Ayaw ko namang tapusin ang araw ko ng badtrip ako kaya nagpakasaya ako. Okie na ko. Hehe.

Siguro mamya ko mararamdaman yong pagkaubos ng pera ko. Haha, pagnahimasmasan na ako. Hehe.

WWF Calls on Whole Nation to Join

IT started with a question: How can we inspire people to take action on climate change?

The answer: Ask the people to turn off their lights for one hour.

This coming 29 March 2008, from 8 to 9 in the evening, the Philippines will join cities in Europe, America and Asia by switching off lights as part of a global movement termed Earth Hour. The cities of Pasay, Manila and Parañaque have agreed to turn off lights along the historical Roxas Boulevard seaside strip for 60 minutes to show support. Adjacent cities such as Makati are following suit. WWF lauds these cities for stepping forward to become beacons for others in the country.

Earth Hour Philippines is now a joint initiative of WWF, the Department of Energy, Presidential Task Force on Climate Change, Green Army, AMORE Project and Philippine Army. Corporations, spearheaded by Philips Lighting Systems, Ayala, Intel, Canon, Coca-Cola, Colliers, HSBC, McDonald's, Jollibee, Starbucks and the SM group are all doing their part. Schools, museums and barkadas are pitching in - and eagerly await the blackout on the 29th.

Created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off lights for an hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming. This simple act has captured the hearts and minds of people all over the world.

“On behalf of the WWF International network, I want to commend and thank the mayors and officials in our flagship cities for playing a leadership role in supporting this unique global event and demonstrating their commitment to fighting climate change,” says WWF Director General James Leape.

Launched in Australia on the 31st of March 2007, Earth Hour moved 2.2 million people and 2100 businesses in Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour. This massive collective effort reduced the city’s energy consumption by 10.2% for one hour, which is the equivalent effect of taking 48,000 cars off the road for an hour.

With Sydney icons like the Harbour Bridge and Opera House turning their lights off and unique events such as weddings by candlelight, the world took notice. Inspired by the collective effort of millions of Sydneysiders, many major global cities are joining Earth Hour in 2008, turning a symbolic event into a global movement.

Says Leape, “Earth Hour will send a strong signal that people all around the world are deeply concerned and expect their leaders to take action before it’s too late. Climate change is a global challenge that requires global solutions and it’s clear that the people of this planet are ready to get involved and find the answers.”

Climate change is the biggest threat to earthbound life and much of the Philippines’ 7107 isles are susceptible to rising sea levels and unpredictable weather patterns. Luckily, Filipinos have a distinctive Bayanihan spirit – a brotherhood of kinship that unites people towards a common goal. The Philippines stands united in the fight against climate change and its impacts to the country and throughout the ASEAN region.

WWF-Philippines calls on private corporations, local groups, schools and the entire nation to participate in this momentous event by shutting off lights for an hour on the 29th. Your participation will go a long way in spreading the message that we, as individual droplets working collectively – can create an impetus far more powerful than the mightiest of rivers.

Looking Back

I can't believe I had a conversation like that (very caring, very accomodating, very much like an Ate) with someone I don't like. Haha. I couldn't quite grasp the idea I've been very nice to that person before. Okay, I'm talking about a friend, actually an acquintance, I never really had a chance to meet him in person. I didn't have any desire to meet him in the first place. Hehe.

I was flipping thru my sent box. I'm looking for an email I sent Lara years ago but I couldn't find it. Damn, I forgot which email add I used. Tsk, I have so many, some I've already forgotten the passwords. Hehe.

I stopped looking and instead I read emails 5 years back. Hahaha. The mails were.. Dramatic. Lalo na the mails from Lindsey. Haha. It just makes me laugh to realize I wrote such melodramatic letters. Haha. Gosh, that was a very emotional year for me.

Hay, I do regret losing that friendship. It was a very intense friendship, she was like my lost sister or something who I could tell anything and everything. Oh well.. That's life, people come and go.

I found Debbie online, as usual, she made me sing after our small talks about her thesis.

I sang, of course, my audience was the people renting in the computer shop.

Haha, okie lang di naman nila ako kilala eh at hindi nila ako nakikita, naririnig lang.

Hahaha.

She has this friend who sings in a choir, si William.

I made him sing after painstakingly convincing him that there's no reason to be shy.

Ayun, napakanta ko din, hahaha.

He sang a line from a song I don't know, a verse from one of Josh Gorban's songs that I couldn't remember the title and The Click Five's Jenny song.

He also sang Josh Gorban's.. You're Still You.

He has no idea I was recording.

Nyahaha..
